5-9 August

Bergen

MS Sunnhordaland is participating in Fjordsteam 2026 in Bergen, Europe's largest festival for living cultural heritage.

During the festival, the historic veteran ship will be part of an impressive collection of heritage vessels from all over the country. For the crew and friends' association, participation is an important commemoration of our maritime history, and an opportunity to showcase the ship to a large audience. At the same time, Fjordsteam is a meeting place where enthusiasts, volunteers, and the public can share knowledge, experiences, and commitment to the preservation of maritime cultural heritage.

Fjordsteam is held in Bergen every four years and brings together historic ships, steamships, veteran buses, trains, trams, aircraft and other cultural-historical vehicles in a vibrant festival area around Vågen and Bryggen. The festival takes place from 5–9 August 2026 and is the largest volunteer-run heritage festival in Bergen, attracting tens of thousands of visitors and offering a rich programme of exhibitions, lectures, crafts, concerts and experiences for the whole family.
